Big Walk All Achievements & Trophies Guide
Last verified: August 5, 2026 · Data from the official Steam store page.
Big Walk ships with 12 Steam achievements, and they're a lovely little map of the island's milestones — crossing your first drawbridge, riding your first train, reaching the highest point on the island. Most unlock naturally as your group explores; a handful are hidden and story-linked, so we've kept those spoiler-free. Here's the complete list with unlock rates, verified from Steam.

Every achievement is a milestone on the walk.

Achievement Guide
Big Walk — Cross the drawbridge (72.2%)
Your first achievement and essentially the game's opening milestone. Early in the tutorial stretch, the path forward crosses a drawbridge — get your group across it and the achievement pops. It's near-universal (72% of players have it), which makes it the best "did I miss the tutorial?" sanity check in the whole list.
Big View — Visit the map (26.3%)
The map room is one of the island's major rewards, unlocked after a run of puzzles in the opening zone. It holds a giant map of the island that your group can use to plot routes. A quarter of players have reached it — most groups unlock it within their first session or two.
Big Pack — Wear a backpack (23.8%)
Backpacks are your inventory system — they add physical carry space and hold the paper map. You'll find them around the opening areas. Wear one for the first time and the achievement is yours. (The paper map inside is what makes the achievement genuinely useful.)
Big Sit — Ride the chairlift (5.9%)
The chairlift is one of the island's quieter delights — a scenic ride between elevations that also functions as a shortcut. Only about 6% of players have found it, so it's an early bragging-rights achievement. If your group loves trains and lifts, make a point of hunting this one down.
Big Help — Wear something on your hip (4.9%)
Several tools — flashlights, flares and similar — can be worn on your hip instead of carried. Equip something hip-mounted for the first time to unlock this. It's also a practical tip: hip-slot items free up your hands for carrying orbs and keys.
Big Ride — Ride the train (3.0%)
The train system is the opening zone's big reward: colored trains — red, yellow and green — run between stations once you complete the puzzle chain that powers them. Climb aboard your first ride for this one. It's rare (3%) because it sits past the early puzzle gauntlet.
Big Climb — Reach the highest point (3.0%)
The island's summit. This one's a genuine expedition — reaching the highest point on the island takes route-finding, some climbing puzzles and a group willing to commit to the vertical. The view is the real reward; the achievement is just proof you made it.
Big Tunnel — Enter a big tunnel (0.9%)
Past the opening zone, a large tunnel cuts through the island — and entering it is rare enough that under 1% of players have the achievement. It's a marker of how far the opening stretch actually extends; most players are still in the first zone.
Big Wall — Go beyond the wall (0.1%)
The wall is one of the island's great mysteries — a massive barrier that early players spent hours staring at (GameSpot's group famously theorized about "the massive black orb that waited beyond a wall we couldn't seem to access"). Going beyond it is deep progression; only 0.1% of players have made it, and it's clearly a major story gate.
Big Makeover — Get shiny (0.1%)
Customization runs deeper than picking colors — somewhere on the island, something makes your character shiny. It's ultra-rare (0.1%) and ties into the game's customization systems. We're verifying exactly where; check back as the guide expands.
Hidden Achievements
Two achievements are hidden on Steam, meaning their names appear in your list but their descriptions are locked until you unlock them:
- Big Goodbye (0.1%) — hidden, story-linked. The name strongly suggests an end-of-journey moment. We're keeping this spoiler-free.
- Big Game (0.1%) — hidden, story-linked. A late-game milestone tied to the island's bigger mysteries.
Both hidden achievements are almost certainly tied to story moments the developers want players to discover themselves — and both sit at 0.1% unlock, so almost nobody has reached them yet. We'll document them here once we've verified what they involve.
Rarity Explained
The unlock rates tell a clear story about Big Walk's shape. The first three achievements (drawbridge, map, backpack) are the game's onboarding arc. Then the rate drops off a cliff — the chairlift, hip items and train sit at 3–6%, and everything past the opening zone is under 1%. The game launched on August 4, 2026, so these numbers will shift as more players walk the island — but the shape will stay: Big Walk is a game where most players never leave the first zone, and the deep island is genuinely rare territory.
Unlock Tips
- Play the same session across multiple nights. The host's save persists, so a regular group steadily climbs the rarity ladder — the train, the chairlift and the summit are all "keep walking" achievements.
- Explore vertically. Big Climb and Big View reward groups that head for high ground early. The telescope and map room are the island's two "look from above" tools — use them.
- Check every hip and shoulder. Big Help and Big Pack are about gear slots. Try wearing every item type you find at least once.
- Expect the rarest ones to take sessions, not hours. Big Wall, Big Goodbye and Big Game sit deep in the island's story progression. Don't rush the ending to reach them — the walk is the point.
